Here is our 3D rendering of a Geothermal Pond Loop. There are a few different ways to configure the actual tubing, but either way the concept is the same. You simply submerse a large loop of tubing, and use the pond as the thermal mass for the system. The tubing itself is a closed loop system that exchanges heat with the water in the pond.
