Renewable Energy Loans – Geothermal Heating Cost

With the large stimulus recently passed by the federal government, there is an abundance of money set aside by state programs for renewable energy loans.  These loans are becoming more readily available, and are often offered at low fixed rates.  With the energy savings associated with geothermal heating, the principal and interest of the loan can sometimes be covered by the energy savings of the system.  Many homeowners are enjoying a geothermal heating system without the large upfront fee, and are still have positive cash flow.

Each state is in charge of handling the loans for residential renewable energy, so the best way to find out if you qualify for one is to contact the alternative energy department of your state.

We have worked with the representatives up here in Montana, and they have been absolutely great to work with, and are really looking to help more and more people get into renewable energy systems.
